Description
Crategus Paul’s Scarlet Tree
These are a small, thorny deciduous tree closely related to the common Hawthorn plants that decorate our landscapes. These trees are round and bushy by nature with glossy green leaves, fully double light red flowers in May and crimson berries in Autumn. Leaves turn yellow and bronze in later Autumn months. The Crategus Paul’s Scarlet are low maintenance, very hardy and will tolerate inland or coastal locations. They will thrive in any well drained soil and reach sizes of 4-8 metres in both height and spread.
