Cullen Nurseries was delighted to be part of a special event at Enterprise House in Carlow this January, where our Managing Director, Caitríona Cullen, had the pleasure of meeting with Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Neale Richmond TD.
The Minister was visiting Carlow as part of his engagement with the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) network, taking time to meet and hear from local businesses. We were proud to share the Cullen Nurseries story with him and to highlight how LEO support has helped us grow and develop over the past number of years.
As many of our customers know, Cullen Nurseries is a family-run business with a long tradition of growing native Irish trees and hedging. From small beginnings, our nursery has expanded to supply customers right across the country — something that wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance and support of Carlow LEO. From training and mentoring to grant assistance, their team has been an important partner on our journey.
Speaking after the meeting, Caitríona said:

Growing our business while staying true to our roots in sustainability and family values has always been our priority. The Local Enterprise Office has played a huge role in helping us along the way, and it was wonderful to have the chance to acknowledge that during the Minister’s visit.”
The visit was also a chance to celebrate the resilience and creativity of small businesses in Carlow, and to remind ourselves how important it is to support local. Minister Richmond expressed his admiration for the passion and hard work shown by businesses in the region, something we take great pride in being part of.

Being included in this event was a special milestone for us, and we look forward to continuing our growth while staying deeply connected to our community and our customers.
